Kernel can identify holding companies and represent them in hierarchy data. Whether a holding company should become a Salesforce Account depends on the customer's CRM policy.

For some teams, the operating parent is more useful than the legal top parent.

Check this first

  • Is the holding company the legal parent or the operating parent?
  • Does the customer report on legal ownership or GTM ownership?
  • Should the CRM roll up to the holding company or the operating entity?
  • Is the holding company already in Salesforce?

What to send support

  • Child Account ID.
  • Holding company name and KERN ID if available.
  • Operating parent, if different.
  • Customer hierarchy policy.
