How Kernel fits into Salesforce
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Short answer
Kernel can store researched values on the Kernel Account custom object, selected Account fields, or both. The safer default is to keep Kernel-owned values on the Kernel object first, then map only the fields that need to appear on Account.
Use this collection when
- You see a Kernel value on the custom object but not Account.
- You are deciding where a field should live in Salesforce.
- You need reporting or downstream systems to use Kernel fields.
- A field appears duplicated, missing, or unmapped.
